CHALLENGE FOR BUTTONS SUSTAINED
WOMEN’S BOWLS
Interest centred on the Short Challenge Buttons last Saturday at the Riverside Women's Bowling Club when Mesdames Kelly and Blair were again successful in holding the buttons against Mesdames McCauley and Fishbach, the score being 22 —15. Club matches resulted:—Mesdames Lunken, Harris, Crack is) 24 v. Mesdames Gilgren, Tennent, Ballantyne ts) 18; Mesdames Wells, Griggs, Elliott (s) 24 v. Mesdames Pyke, Webster. Shep-pard-Wilson (s) 12; Mesdames Henderson, Baker, G. Corbett (s) 28 v. Mesdames Caughey. Ivess, Keenan, Burch <s> 12; Mesdames Bovis, Wilkinson. Robertson, Lloyd (s) 18 v. Mesdames McGaviston, Harris, Harnett, Coker is) 16. The results of the fourth round of the Championship Singles were:—Mrs. Gilgren d. Mrs. Fischbach; Mrs. Shep-pard-Wilson d.
