U.S. TENNIS RANKINGS

NEW YORK, Dec. 19.

The national champion, Richard Gongales, who was ranked seventeenth in 1947, tops the 1948 tennis singles rankings of the United States Lawn Tennis Association. The first ten are. Gonzales, Schroeder, Parker, Talbert, Falkenberg. Cochell, Seixas, Mulloy, Flam and Likas

Women's singles rankings are: Mrs. Margaret Osborne, Misses Dupont, Louise Brough, Doris Hart, Gertrude Moran. Beverly Baker, Mrs Patricia Canning Todd. Miss Shirley Fry, Mrs. Helen Perez (formerly Miss Helen Pastall). Mrs. Virginia Kovacs. Mrs. Helen Rihbany. In the men’s doubles Mulloy and Talbert are ranked first followed by Parker and Schroeder.

All the rankings are subject to approval at the annual meeting on Janu ary 22.
