WELLINGTON, Dec. 18.

The managing director of the War Assets Realisation Board, Brigadier IT. E. Avery, stated yesterday that it was expected that the shipping commitments of the board would be taken over by tne Marine Department when the board dissolved at the end of the year.

These commitments affected the Ministry of Works ketch Ranui, tenders for the sale of which closed last month and the Government lighthouse tender Matai. tenders for which would close early in the New Year.

The board has not yet accepted a tender for the Ranui and Brigadier Avery said that if no decision was reached before the end of the year the matter would be handed over to the Marine Department.
