GISBORNE CARNATION GROWER TAKES TOP PLACE IN P.N. SHOW

Two Gisborne carnation growers have had outstanding successes in the National Carnation Show at Palmerston North this week, obtaining seven “mentions” altogether. They are Mr. J. R. Beckett, Gisborne, who has won the ribbon and trophy for the best bloom in the show, and Mrs. R. P. Baigent, Gisborne, who has won the open class for the perpetual bloom.
