SCHEDULE INCREASES FOR FAT LAMBS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 9. In a statement made today Mr. John Andrew, chairman of the meat and wool section of Federated Farmers, said he would like to draw the attention of fat lamb producers to the announcement by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board to the fact that the schedule increases during the season for wool growth and for value will in future be determined by the buyers of meat for export.
Mr. Andrew said he understood that the New Zealand Meat Board will announce from time to time the prices being paid for stock and will also collect information to enable it to keep a check on the prices being paid in order to ascertain whether or not the prices being paid arc fair ones.
