H. Nordmeyer. last night. The Minister said he had recently met the executive of the Master Butchers’ Federation and discussed with them many aspects of the trade. It had become obvious tnat the meat industry faced problems of long duration not easily solved and the Government was, therefore, agreeable to the setting up of a permanent advisory council representative of the butchers and of certain Government departments. . , . r Mr. Nordmeyer said it was thought that information obtained from the trade would enable the Price Tribunal to hear the butchers’ case in about two weeks’ time.
