SYDNEY LEAGUE TEAM DEFEATED

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 4. Western Suburbs, the champion club Rugby League team of Sydney, suffered its second defeat at Carlaw Park on Saturday, Mount Albert winning by 10 points to two. The first spell was played in a downpour of rain and the ground was almost waterlogged. The visitors erred in attempting to play dry weather football.

Tries for Mount Albert were scored by Cranch and Kay. Wiles converted one and Tocker kicked a penalty goal. Keato kicked a penalty goal for Western Suburbs.
