Steamer Bookings

Applications for accommodation on the Weilington-Lyttelton and Welling-ton-Nelson ferry steamers during the Christmas period are already so numerous that it has been decided to run four extra daylight trips to Lyttelton, and it is possible that extra trips to Nelson will be arranged. The companies started to deal with most Christmas bookings only last week. The staff dealing with applications for accommodation on the Wellington-Lyttel-ton run had already experienced a “terrific rush” when inquiries were made recently. A similar position is reported in Christchurch for bookings for north-bound trips.
