GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO VISIT BAY OF PLENTY

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. The Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freybcrg, and Lady Freyberg will leave Wellington by air on Monday, October 18, to pay official visits to towns in the Bay of Plenty district. Their Excellencies will visit Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane, Opotiki and Raukokere. The Governor-General will hold a military investiture in Tauranga and will present the Ahuwhenua trophy at Raukokere. He will return to Wellington by air on October 21.
