PAINT AND WALLPAPER PRICES CUT

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 31. Oil and colour merchants in Wellington decided at a meeting to pass on to the public the benefit of the alteration in the exchange rate.

The retail price of all wallpapers will be 7J per cent cheaper and the price of paint to the trade has been reduced by from 3s to 3s 6d a gallon.
