PRICES OF MOTOR TYRES CUT
(PA.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 28. The New Zealand Tyre Importers’ Association announced yesterday that notwithstanding the considerable value of stocks of tyres and tubes held and paid for. importers had decided, as a result of the restoration of the New Zealand pound to par with sterling to give the public some immediate benefit through a reduction in pricesWith a few minor exceptions, the statement added, the reductions varied from 74 lo 20 per cent. The reductions would come into effect from todav.
