The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club will present a vvclllilletl card for the opening of its winter meeting at Addington tomorrow and as this will lie the iirst fixture in the province for some weeks investors will be faced with a difficult task in locating dividend-payers. All of tile fields are well filled, and in the cases of the Louisson and Lightning Handicaps 10 horses arc engaged in both races, while Pre-eminence and Maudeen are engaged in both the August and Lightning Handicaps. The track promises to be in fast order. The betting will be under me win-and-placc system. The following horses can be expected to race prominently: INTERMEDIATE HANDICAP.— Java, Golden Amazon.
