HARRIS MAY RUN BY YEAR’S END, SAYS N.Z. DOCTOR

(10 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 3. Dr. A. E. Porritt, a former New Zealand Olympic representative, stated that he hoped D. M. Harris will be able to run again by the end of the year. He will be obliged to remain in St. Mary’s Hospital for some weeks to allow the partly-torn heel tendon to heal. Harris was spiked in his heat of the 800 metres on Friday and collapsed in the semi-final on Saturday.
