FRUIT MARKETING SCHEME ACCEPTABLE

(P.A.) HASTINGS, July 14. Provided the Government agrees to certain amendments, its recently announced scheme for the future marketing of apples and pears will be acceptable to Hawke’s Bay fruitgrowers. The proposals were discussed at length by over 80 members of the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association last night and, with certain reservations relative to the operation of the guarantee, were accepted.
