LEADERS OF N.Z. CITRUS INDUSTRY ELECTION OF OFFICERS

There was a lengthy discussion on a notice of motion regarding presidential selection at the annual conference of the N.Z. Citrus Council at Low’s reception rooms yesterday, and it was decided that, in general, only chairmen of district citrus growers’ associations be eligible for the position of president, of the council, but shall not take office un<il the close of the conference. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr. N. P. Gibson; vice-presi-dent, Mr. F. Firth; secretary-treasurer Mr. S. M. Conway; auditor, Mr. W. J. Rodger. The venue of the next conference will be Tauranga.
