£750,000 BUILDING FOUNDATION STONE

(P.A.) AUCKLAND. June 15. The foundation stone of a £750,000 works centre for the Auckland Electric Power Board was laid by the Govern-or-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, at Newmarket this afternoon. The centre, which will not be completed for several years, will replace the existing works at King’s Wharf and includes branch offices and plant lor the manufacture of concrete power poles.
