NO TROOPING OF COLOUR THIS YEAR

(10 a.m.) LONDON, June 15.

The trooping of the colour ceremony which was cancelled on June 10 be cause of the unsettled weather will not take place this year. The stocks of full ceremonial dress are only barely sufficient to equip all Guards, and as there will be other ceremonial parades it has been decided to abandon the event in order to make the existing dress last as long as possible.
