Tallest Passenger
Easily the tallest man oil the Mata-i-oa, which arrived at Wellington from Southampton recently, was (sft. 7in. K. Lowen. Formerly a Londoner, Mr. Lowen. who weighs 17st. 61b., has come to New Zealand under the Govern-ment-assisted settlement scheme and will be employed on State hydro work at Mangakino. He served in both the Army and the Navy during the war. and hopes to engage in the copra trade in the Pacific when his two years’ contract is up.
