90 RIDERS RACE IN GRAND PRIX EVENTS
(P.A.) HAMILTON, June 13. Motor-cyclists from all parts of New Zealand competed in the Hamilton Motor-cycle Club’s grand prix, the biggest race to be held in the North Island. More than 90 riders contested the three events. „ The senior 125-mile event was won by A. Holland (Christchurch) in Ihr. 58 mins. 38secs., being a lap ahead of his nearest opponent. Tricky bends and loose road surfaces took a steady toll of the riders. Results: — Senior Race (125 miles, 500 cc machines).—A. Holland (Triumph) Ihr. 58m. 385., 1; A. J. Dean (Triumph), 2hr. 9m. 495., 2; J. Swarbrick (Norton), 2hr. 9m. 555., 3. Junior Race (100 miles 350 cc machines).— P. Clarkson (A.J.S.), Ihr. 31m. 21s„ 1; W. G. Taylor (Excelsior), Ihr. 36m. 11s., 2; J. Green (Velocette), Ihr. 38m., 3. Clubmen’s Race touring machines). — B. Booth (A.J.S.), 1; E. F. Erickson, (Velocette), 2; W. E. Wright (Norton), 3.
