DECLINE IN CANADAN.Z. TRADE
(P.A.) AUCKLAND June 12. About 4,000,000 dollars worth of hydro-electric equipment has been purchased in Canada during the last three to four years, said Mr. S. Tasker, who returned in the Wairimu today after seven years with the New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Montreal. It. however, was difficult to obtain such equipment in Canada. He added that trade between New Zealand and Canada today was inainiy in the nature of token shipments. New Zealand sent wool, tallow and hides in exchange for newsprint, cigarettes, motor vehicles, cotton and silk goods and linseed oil.
