MOVE TO CENTRALISE ROYAL A. & P. SHOW
(P.A.) HASTINGS, June 12. Strong condemnation of a move to centralise the Royal Agricultural and Pastoral Show in Palmerston North and Christchurch in alternate years was expressed at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society. The question arose when remits to be considered at the annual conference of the Royal Agricultural Society in Wellington next week came before the meeting. Two remits suggested Palmerston North and Christchurch. A third merely sought centralisation in anticipation of centralisation.
