The toialisator handled £01.737 10s against £08.083 on the second day last year, making the aggregate for the meeting £184,0*15 10s, an increase of £0315 over last year's total of £128,330
A feature of the day's racing was the win of Peter's Choice in the Wanganui Centennial Steeplechase in his first start in a cross-country race. The horse had never been schooled over big jumps.
