N. ISLAND GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

(P.A.) . HAMILTON. June 7.

Brilliant rounds by four semi-finalists in the North Island golf championships were played at the St. Andrew’s links this morning in brilliant sunshine. At the completion of the first 18 holes the New Zealand amateur champion, B. M. Silk, was one up on the other champion, R. 11. Gladding. Both had cards of 73.

A. R. Kitto, the Wanganui scratch player, was one up at lunch in a match with T. J. Jeffrey. Kitto had a card of 71 and Jeffrey 72.
