G.N. HURDLES DAY AT ELLERSLIE: RACES AT NAPIER
The running of the Great Northern Hurdles at Ellerslia today will take the fancy of most racing followers, but nearer to home is the Napier Park Racing Club’s steeplechase meeting being held at Greenmeadows. The eight races at Eilersie are well filled, as are those being conducted by the Wanganui Jockey Club on the Wanganui course. At Wingatui the Dunedin Jockey Club’s winter meeting is also well supported. The only trotting meeting in the Dominion today is at Ashburton, where large fields will parade.
