STEER GORES CHILD LYING IN PRAM
(P.A.) DARGAVILLE, June 2. Gored in the chest by a steer that ran amok in Normanby street and rushed a pram in which she and her twinbrother were lying shortly before 4.30 p.m. yesterday, a 15-month-old child, Diana Mary Brophy, was admitted- to the Northern Wairoa Hospital to have the wound stitched.
Her three-year-old brother Patrick John Brophy received lacerations to a leg when he was struck by the steer. He also was admitted t,o hospital. Both children are progressing satisfactorily. The other occupant of the pram, Dennis Edward Brophy, was not injured.
