BRITISH FILMS ARE ON TOP

LONDON, May 11. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Harold Wilson, ranked British films top when speaking at the national film award presentation to Margaret Lockwood, John Mills and the producer Herbert Wilcox. “Awards are not merely to the public’s choice of top performers in Britain, but to the best performances nil over the world,” said Mr. Wilson. "There is no doubt that the British film industry today stands first arid foremost among the film industries of the whole world. Now we no longer tear any competition from any part of the world.”
