RADIO ISOTYPES AID TO RESEARCH

CANBERRA, May 25.

The Commonwealth Government intends to make radiological and other investigational services part of its proposed national health scheme, according tko the Minister of Health, Senator N. E. McKenna, when he opened the annual conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Radiology. He added that of the 20 issues of radio-active isotopes made by the United States to foreign countries since September, 1947, 17 had been made to Australia. These by-products of atomic fission promised to be as an effective tool in medical and biological research as was the microscope.
