MEAT SMALL GOODS HIGHER TRADE COSTS (P.A.)) WELLINGTON, May 13. Housewives will have to pay more for meat small goods. In a reserved decision given today the Price Tribunal authorised members of the New Zealand Association of Bacon Curers to increase the wholesale ■ price of meat small goods by lijd per lb. subject to review after December 31 next. Authority was also given to retailers to increase their present maximum price by a similar amount. At Hie original hearing on April 22, the director of the price control division, Mr. H. L. Wise, said that in his opinion the industry as a whole could not reasonably be called upon to absorb the higher costs of 1.75 d per lb. and in this the tribunal agreed.
