WELLINGTON RATES SHORTAGES REPORTED Supplies of fruit and vegetables have been particularly short again this week, (lie demand being far in excess of the supply, states Hie weekly report of Messrs Townsend and Paul, Limited, fruit and produce merchants, Wellington. All greens were in particularly short supply and were urgently wanted. The demand for tree tomatoes, Chinese gooseberries and feijoias was good and all citrus were realising ceiling prices. Good supplies of flowers had been offered, with values slightly easier.
