MONEY IN ALUMINIUM

100% DIVIDEND PAID LONDON. March 13 In 15 years the London Aluminium Company, which has just declared a record 100 per cent dividend, has been tiansformed from a £SOOO investment into a holding worth more than £500,000. The profit of £296,573 compares with £124,261 last year, when the dividend was 20 per cent. At 20 years Mr. Duncan Campbell, now 65, and managing director of the company, became a clerk in a clothing firm. He retired at 40 as a director and general manager. Ten years later Mr. Campbell, tired of inactivity and bought for £SOOO the pot and pan company of Williams (Birmingham), Limited, which was in liquidation. Later he bought the London Aluminium Company and amalgamated it with Williams, Limited. The company built fuel tanks for Mosquito aircraft and motor torpedo boats during the war. It is now engaged on Government priority work.
