AID-BRITAIN COMMITTEE (P.A.) DUNEDIN. April 22. A motion that the press be admitted (o all meetings is to be presented to the next meeting of (he Aid to-Britain committee in Dunedin. This was an nounced bv the secretary-organiser, Mr. L. 11. Frude. When asked why (lie press had been excluded from certain meetings of the committee. Mr. Frude said it. was mainly because the agenda dealt with matters concerning organisation and personnel. He felt that tiie exclusion had been a mistake. "I am of ‘he opinion that the press should be given access to ail future meetings," he added. "Mv experience of community work has shown that the press is very fair, and when asked to use its discretion in controversial matters, it has never been found wanting."
