MAY CONFERENCE

CITRUS DELEGATES GISBORNE MEETING Remits to the conference of the New Zealand Citrus Council to be conducted in Gisborne on May 19 and 20 were considered this week at the annual meeting of the Gisborne Citrus Society, Plans for the conference were left lo the incoming committee. It was announced that there would be 11 delegates, representing Auckland Tauranga, Kerikeri and Gisborne at the conference. Some talk had been heard of a party of Kerikeri growers making the trip to Gisborne at the time of the conference to make a further study of this district. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. H. Carmichael; vicepresidents, Messrs. L. Grey and P. G. Beil; acting secretary, Mr. V. G. A. Hall; committee, Messrs. H. Wade, J. Winning, E. Judge and W. W. Smith; I auditor, Messrs. Blackburn and Blackburn; conference delegate, Mr. E. Judge.
