WORLD RECORDS SET

U.S. NEGRO ATHLETES NEW YORK, April 18. Two negroes, Charles Fonville and Harrison Dillard, shattered two world records at Lawrence, Kansas, today.

Fonville heaved the 161 b. shot 58ft. Jin. to beat the recognised world record of 57ft. lin. set in 1934 by the American, Jack Torrance. Dillard skimmed the 120 yards high hurdles in 13.6 sec one-tenth of a second faster than the world record held by the Americans, Forrest Towns and Fred Wolcott.
