SHEEP RATES FIRM

MORRINSVILLE SALE BUYERS RESTRICTED A medium yarding of fat sheep came forward at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday and realised prices on a par with those ruling at the central yards. f Fat and boner cattle sold very freely at prices firm on recent quotations. A small number of Jersey calves did not show much quality, but sold well up to late rates. The advertised lines of store cattle were well up to standard for quality and condition, but they did not attract the attention of earlier sales. Dry weather restricted buyers’ activities and vendors met the market, practically the whole of the yarding being disposed of under the hammer.
