U.N. SEEKS TRUCE
PALEST|NE WAR CALL TO ARABS & JEWS BRITAIN URGED TO HELP (N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright.) (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 15. Delegates to the United Nations Security Council yesterday Issued a truce plan for Palestine, calling on all persons in organisations, especially the Arab Higher Committee and Jewish Agency in Palestine, to cease all military activities and “acts of violence, terrorism and sabotage." The plan asks the parties to cease “bringing into, assisting or encouraging the entry into Palestine of armed bands and individuals” and to refrain from importing war materials. It also calls for the cessation of political activities and for co-operation with the mandatory authority. Britain is requested to use her best efforts to hring all those concerned in Palestine to accept these measures and the countries adjoining Palestine are asked, to assist in the implementation of the measures, particularly those referring to the entry of armed individuals arte, war materials. . In Cairo, an Arab official said that the Arab League political committee had decided to establish an air force to take part in the Palestine campaign. The planes would use airfields outside Palestine.
