Petrol Coupon Availability
Most motorists in Gisborne are finding that under the coupon rationing system they are receiving sufficient petrol for their private needs and few complaints have been heard. No announcement has yet been made regarding the amount of petrol private motorists may use during May, but coupons which are valid this month, Nos. 4, 5 and 6, also will be available next month, the regulations allowing for a carry-over of one month on coupons. Although the restriction against the sale of petrol into tins was lifted, week-end sale restrictions still apply.
