TURANGANUI GOLF
PLAYERS’ EARLY FORM
Despite adverse weather conditions, a representative number of men took part in the week-end competitions of the Turanganui Golf Club. The scores indicated that some have struck form and others are only slightly below their best. The bogey match was won by G. B. Butler, who was all square. In the Stablpford handicap, R.» G. Robb, 38 points, was first. Next came L. Hughes 35, G. Farmer, C. Read, D. Tennent 34 each J. Kaua 33, E. W. Sharp 32, A. Nicholson 31 and C. Hume 30. Next week-end competitions will be a medal match and a bogey match. The following names have been submitted for inclusion in the draw for the opening Canadian foursomes at the Awapuni Links on Saturday; Men: R. Halbert, G. Farmer. T. McMurray, B. Corbett, C. Read. D. Tennent, J. Kaua, C. Hume. Ladies: Mesdames Halbert, Dewes, Crack, Dixon, B. Kaua and Dolman.
