LONG PLAY IN DOUBLES

TENNIS AT BUSHMERE METROPOLITAN DEFEATED (Herald (Jorrenpurident.) Playing on the Bushmere courts during the week-end the Kia Ora Tennis Club’s representatives took the honours by 13 rubbers to 11 in a keen match with the Metropolitan club, Gisborne. The visitors were hospitably entertained and under favourable conditions the play proved most enjoyable. Competition was particularly keen in the doubles, one extended rubber in the men’s section including a set of 34 games, the tally being 18-16.
