SUSPECTED OIL LEAK

AIR SERVICES DELAYED Owing to a suspected oil leak having to be cheeked when the aircraft from Gisbo rne reached Palmerston North yesterday morning, a rearrangement of the schedule was made in the airways services yesterday afternoon. Checks were carried out on the aircraft as quickly as possible at Palmerston North, but it was 4.44 p.m. before the machine, after being test flown, was able to carry passengers to Gisborne, arriving here at (i.G pm. In consequence, passengers who should have left Gisborne at 2.45 for Auckland were forced to wait until a machine arrived from Auckland at 4.30 p.m. This one was immediately re-fuelled and took off a lew minutes later for Auckland, arriving there at 6.1 p.m.
