Sir, —As I await the railcar outward bound from Gisborne, I would like to take the opportunity of expressing my appreciation of the very friendly manner in which I, a visitor, have been received and assisted during my short stay in your pleasantly situated town. Everyone has been most helpful, some going out ot their way to assist someone who was obviously a stranger. Such a fine spirit is greatly appreciated and also very refreshing. The citizens of Gisborne may well be proud of their hospitality, which I am sure pays a handsome dividend in the goodwill it creates. , NORTHERNER
