SCOTTISH ANCESTRY

RESEARCH FACILITIES (P.A.) DUNEDIN, March 16, Hundreds _of registration forms foi distribution to people interested in tracing their Scottish ancestry were unpacked by Sir John Falconer, a former Lord Provost of Edinburgh, in Dunedin this morning. They have been issued by the Scots Ancestry Research Society, an organisation formed in 1945 by the then Secretary of State for Scotland, Mr, Thomas Johnson and dedicated to binding to the homeland those of Scottish blood. "The interest of Scots all over the world in Scotland seems to have increased,” said Sir John, who is here for the centennial celebrations. “We are most anxious that Scottish bonds should be strengthened and the research society is one medium being developed. Anyone of Scottish origin who has lost touch with the lines oi his ancestry can apply and an official search will be made to discover his Scottish descent.’’ -
