In the opening event C. Stokes, rider of the second horse, objected to Kinlass, ridden by Skelton, being awarded the race on the grounds of interference, but after a protracted inquiry by the judicial committee no action was taken. After the Coalfields Hack Handicap, C. J. Walsh, trainer of Maka Maka, the second horse, objected against the placing of Post-Graduate, ridden by Skelton, on the grounds of interference, but the protest, was dismissed. Skelton was reprimanded and warned to take precautions with reference to pulling out.

In the Granity Trot Loriot, who galloped past the post in third place, was relegated to fourth position and Loch Dornie niaced third.
