DOLLARS FOR AUSTRALIAN TENNIS TEAM
(11 a.m) Melbourne, Feb. 24. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. J>. Chifloy, will allow the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia to spend up to 10,000 dollars of its credits in America on the 19-18 Davis Cup ehaPenge. A Treasury official said that Mr. Ohifley was prepared to make 7000 dollor.s available for the tour and another 3000 dollars if the team reached the challenge round. '•'he official asked the president of the Lawn Tennis Association council, Sir Norman Brookes, to arrange for the return to Australia as soon as possible of 20,000 dollars of Lawn Tennis Association credits in America. Australia’s Davis Cup team is expected to be announced nex’ week.
