ORTHOPAEDIC CASES APPOINTMENT AT COOK Advice of his acceptance of the post of orthopaedic specialist at the Cook Hospital, under an arrangement by which his services also would be available to patients in contiguous hospital hoard districts, was received by the Cook Hospital Board at yesterday's meet in" front Hr. S. M. Thompson, now in the United Kingdom. The Director General of Health notified the board that the appointment of Dr. Thompson had been approved, and that consent had been eiven to the erection of a house for him. The finance committee reported that the managing secretary, Mr.. C. A. Harries, had been asked to bring down a report on the provision of accommodation for Dr. Thompson.
