RETURNING TO RING
PATRICK’S INTENTION BOXING FOR A LIVING (10 a.m.) SYDNEY. Dec. 18. Vic Patrick, former lightweight champion, yesterday annonunced his intentin of resuming his ring career in the New Year. He announced his retirement after being knocked out by the American negro lightweight, Freddie Dawson, three months ago. Patrick said that his wife approved of his decision to return to the ring. He had no trade to turn to, it was a bad time to open a business and the only way he could earn money was to get back into the ring. The lessons he had learnt from the fight with Dawson would make him a better boxer.
