PARTITION OF GERMANY LOOMING
WESTERN POWERS TO CONFER FRENCH ZONE MAY BE MERGED BIDAULT SAYS BREAK-UP INEVITABLE / (N.Z.P.A.—Reuter— Copyright.) (10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 16. Usually well-informed quarters in London believe that Mr. Ernest Bevin, Mr. George Marshall and M. Bidault will meet tomorrow to take immediate decisions on Western Germany’s future, including currency reform and the possible merger of the French zone with the. British and American zones, says Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent. The chances are that the de facto partition of Germany will now be pushed so.far that the Allied Control Council will be powerless to stop the creation of two separate German States.
