“WOOD WOOL” FIBRE
SYDNEY, Nov. 24. A new fibre —“wood wool” —is expected to overcome any housing setback caused by the shortage of asbestos fibre. . , . The new material is made from chemically-processed _ timbers bound together with a special cement. Australia has more than doubled her use of asbestos fibre since 1939 and the dollar shortage since heavy demand for rehabilitation in Europe have made increased supplies from Canada, Australian’s main source of asbestos, unlikely.
