Highway Through Otaki
A plan to construct a limited access State motor-way, cutting the Otaki Borough in half and absorbing some 25 acres of valuable market gardening land, raised a storm of indignation when it was received at a special meeting of the Otaki Borough Council. . It was decided to call a public njeeting to protest against the proposal.
