FROG DERBY CONTEST

MINIATURE RACECOURSE BENDIGO, Nov. 26. Australia’s first frog derby, contested at Bendigo last night, was won by “Windy Alec,” owned and trained by Mr. Jack Jeffrey. The event, conducted by the ExPrisoners of War Association, was contested in true racecourse setting with saddling paddock, stables, birdcage and bookmakers. The winner was the first frog to jump its way out of a large circle.
