NOW SEVEN CASES
TARANAKI PATIENTS (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 15. One more positive case of infantile paralysis in Taranaki was reported today. The patient is a New Plymouth gird, aged 10 years. This makes the seventh positive case. TENNIS CANCELLATION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. Owing to the outbreak of infantile paralysis the management committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association has decided to cancel the New Zealand junior tennis championships to have been held at Christchurch starting .on January 17. It is hoped, however, if conditions improve, to hold the junior championships at Christchurch, possibly at Easter. HASTINGS TUSPECT (P.A.) HASTINGS, Dec. 16. The first suspected case of infantile paralysis in Hawke's Bay, a 22-year-old male from Hastings, was admitted to the Napier Public Hospital yesterday. He is classified as a strong suspect. NORFOLK ISLAND BAN (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 16. National Airways Corporation advises that a total ban has been imposed by the Australian Government on all travel from New Zealand to Norfolk Island.
